EFA Championship Game 2026: Munich Ravens and Nordic Storm Battle for the First Title in Tirol

Six of Europe’s best teams have fought an entire season for this moment. Raiders Tirol, Prague Lions, Nordic Storm, Munich Ravens, Frankfurt Galaxy and Paris Musketeers entered the 2026 season with the goal of ultimately standing where only two teams will remain on August 29: at Tivoli Stadion Tirol in Innsbruck. Following a historic inaugural season of the European Football Alliance, the first Championship Game in league history is now just around the corner. The Munich Ravens, led by quarterback Russell Tabor, will face Nordic Storm, led by quarterback Jadrian Clark. Two of the best teams of the season – and one game to decide who will forever be remembered as the first champion of the EFA.

On Saturday, August 29, at 6:00 PM CEST, history will be made at Tivoli Stadion Tirol. But the EFA Championship Game is set to become much more than the final four quarters of an extraordinary inaugural season. For several days, Innsbruck will become the meeting point of the European football community. Surrounded by one of the most spectacular settings in Europe, the Championship Weekend will bring together football, fans and entertainment – beginning two days before kickoff.

More Than Just a Championship Game

The first final of the European Football Alliance is not supposed to begin with kickoff – and it will not end with the final whistle. From August 27 to 29, Innsbruck will be all about the EFA Championship Game. Fan events in the heart of the city, the EFA Awards, parties and finally an extensive program at Tivoli Stadion will turn the season finale into a multi-day football experience.

The festivities begin on Thursday evening. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the After Work Sundowner Party by ZAMM will take place at Marktplatz Innsbruck. In the heart of the Old Town, fans can come together and kick off Championship Weekend while getting ready for the days ahead. Kickoff may still be more than 40 hours away – but by then, Championship fever will already have arrived in Innsbruck.

On Friday, Marktplatz will become the central meeting point for the football community. From 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the EFA Fan Zone will open its doors. Various activities and entertainment will accompany the day, giving fans the opportunity to come together and enjoy the final day before the big game. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Fan Zone will transition directly into the EFA Fan Zone Party by ZAMM.

EFA Awards and the Final Night Before the Championship

On Friday evening, the spotlight will once again turn to those who have shaped the inaugural season of the European Football Alliance. From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the EFA Awards will take place at the Havana Rooftop Bar at the ADLERS Hotel. The best players and performances of the season will be honored, while athletes, coaches and franchise representatives come together to look back on the league’s first season.

And while the season is celebrated once more at the Awards, the countdown to the Championship Game will already be continuing. Also beginning at 8:00 PM, the Championship Countdown Party will take place at the Mariatheresia Bar. It is the final big night before the championship – one more chance to celebrate together before an entire season comes down to a single game the following day.

Three Hours of Championship Atmosphere Before the First Snap

On Saturday, Championship Weekend finally moves from the center of Innsbruck to Tivoli Stadion Tirol. And fans will not have to wait until 6:00 PM for the action to begin. The stadium gates will open at 3:00 PM for the Power Party.

Three hours before kickoff, the pre-game entertainment surrounding the first Championship Game in EFA history will begin. Fans can look forward to a stage program, stadium tours as well as EFA and team merchandise. Tivoli Stadion will gradually fill as the anticipation for the season’s biggest game continues to build. A trip to the stadium becomes a complete Championship experience – from the first hours of the afternoon until long after the final snap.

At 6:00 PM, the stage will belong to the players. But even during the game, entertainment will remain an important part of the evening. Alongside the EFA Dancers and the stadium program, fans can look forward to a special halftime performance by Claudia Yang. The first EFA Championship Game will therefore combine the sporting highlight of the season with an entertainment program worthy of the historic significance of the occasion.

After the Champion Comes the Party

At some point on Saturday evening, it will be decided who will go down in history as the first champion of the European Football Alliance. The trophy will be presented, the winners will celebrate, and a season that began months earlier with six teams will finally have its champion. But Championship Weekend will not be over just yet.

Beginning at 10:00 PM, the official Championship Game Afterparty will continue the celebrations at Glorious Bastards, Egger-Lienz-Straße 118. Fans and the newly crowned champion will come together one final time to close out the weekend. Where the trophy will be at that point will be decided on the field just a few hours earlier – afterward, the celebration continues together.

Championship Weekend will therefore stretch from Thursday’s Sundowner Party through Friday’s Fan Zone, Awards and Countdown Party all the way to the big gameday and Saturday night’s Afterparty. Three days, multiple locations and one shared centerpiece: the first Championship Game of the European Football Alliance.

Europe’s Two Best Teams on the Biggest Stage

And with everything Innsbruck has to offer around the championship, Saturday evening will of course still come down to the game that six teams have worked an entire season to reach. Only two have made it this far.

The Munich Ravens and Nordic Storm have shaped the inaugural EFA season, defeated Frankfurt Galaxy and the Paris Musketeers respectively at the BIG4 Weekend and earned the right to play for the first title at Tivoli Stadion. Now, the two best teams of the 2026 EFA season will meet where this inaugural campaign is set to reach its grand conclusion.

Against the backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps, only four quarters will ultimately remain. Four quarters for a title no team has ever won before. Four quarters after which one of these two finalists will become the first EFA Champion.

But this weekend, Innsbruck is set to show that a Championship Game can be about much more than those four quarters.
