Galaxy sign Luca Jokiel and Markos Dubravkic

Frankfurt Galaxy have strengthened their offensive line by signing Luca Jokiel and Markos Dubravkic for the upcoming EFA season. Both linemen were part of the Stuttgart Surge roster that won the championship in 2025 and now bring winning experience to Frankfurt.

With these additions, the Galaxy continue to invest in the trenches, adding two physically strong and experienced players to their offensive front.

Championship experience from Stuttgart

Jokiel and Dubravkic played together in Stuttgart from 2023 to 2025, forming part of a consistent and productive offensive line unit. Their time with the Surge culminated in a championship title in 2025, marking the biggest success of their careers so far.

Both players contributed with physicality, reliability, and consistency, helping to establish Stuttgart as one of the top teams in European football during that period.

Different paths to the top level

Before reaching the top level, both linemen followed different development paths.

Luca Jokiel began his football career with the Heidelberg Hunters, where he played from 2015 to 2022. During that time, he developed into one of the most promising linemen outside the top leagues and gained recognition for his rapid progression. In 2022, he was invited to the NFL International Pathway Program Combine, becoming the only German player at the event without prior experience in major European leagues.

Markos Dubravkic started his career with the Leonberg Alligators, where he played at both youth and senior level. He later spent time with the Stuttgart Scorpions before taking the next step in his career. His development was shaped by consistent playing time and a strong technical foundation, allowing him to establish himself as a reliable offensive lineman.

Established starters at a high level

Since joining Stuttgart Surge in 2023, both Jokiel and Dubravkic quickly became regular contributors on the offensive line.

Jokiel, listed at 2.04 meters and around 145 kilograms, established himself as a physically dominant presence and earned All-Star recognition early in his career. Dubravkic, standing at 1.93 meters and approximately 140 kilograms, added versatility and stability, capable of playing multiple positions along the line.

Their combination of size, strength, and experience made them key pieces in Stuttgart’s offensive success.
