Haslwanter’s Four Touchdowns Keep Raiders’ Playoff Dream Alive

The Raiders Tirol are still alive in the race for the inaugural EFA BIG4. Behind a spectacular four touchdown performance from Lukas Haslwanter, Tirol defeated the Prague Lions 41–29 on the road, earning a second consecutive victory and climbing ahead of Prague in the standings. With one week remaining in the regular season, the Raiders now control their own destiny. A victory at home against the Paris Musketeers next weekend would secure a place in the BIG4 Playoffs.

Raiders strike first and never lose control

Knowing that only a win would keep their postseason hopes alive, the Raiders played with confidence from the opening drive. Kenyatte Allen orchestrated a ten play, 86 yard march before Lukas Haslwanter powered into the end zone for the game’s opening touchdown. Prague responded quickly through Keyon Lesane Sr., but the Raiders answered immediately when Allen found Haslwanter for a spectacular 59 yard touchdown reception.

Although the Lions repeatedly fought back, Tirol consistently delivered an answer. Jonata Loria added a field goal before Haslwanter scored his third touchdown of the afternoon to restore an eleven point lead. Prague narrowed the deficit to 24–20 before halftime through former EFA Waiver Wire addition Paul Breuer, but the momentum shifted back to the visitors immediately after the break.

Allen continues impressive debut

Making only his second EFA start at quarterback, Kenyatte Allen once again looked comfortable leading the Raiders offense. The former GFL Bowl champion completed 15 of 22 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 12 rushing yards. Despite throwing one interception in the third quarter, Allen consistently stretched the Prague defense and repeatedly connected on explosive passing plays.

His biggest completion came early in the second half when he found Aaron Jackson for a 64 yard touchdown that extended Tirol’s lead to 31–20. Allen also connected with Marco Schneider for 80 receiving yards and regularly found Adrian Platzgummer, who finished with five catches for 70 yards.

Haslwanter dominates, defense delivers late

The star of the afternoon, however, was Lukas Haslwanter. The Austrian running back scored four total touchdowns, three on the ground and one through the air, while finishing with 108 all purpose yards. Every time Prague threatened to get back into the game, Haslwanter delivered another decisive play.

Prague quarterback Jaylon Henderson once again showcased his dual threat ability, rushing for 124 yards and a touchdown while adding two passing touchdowns. However, Tirol’s defense produced the decisive stop in the closing minutes. After a long drive into the red zone, Henderson lost the football at the two yard line following a forced fumble by Jasper Djouma, with Benedikt Dorner recovering for the Raiders. Tirol then ran out the final minutes to seal the victory.

Playoff race comes down to the final weekend

The victory moves the Raiders Tirol ahead of the Prague Lions in the standings and keeps their postseason hopes firmly alive. Results elsewhere also went in Tirol’s favor, as the Frankfurt Galaxy fell 47–9 to the Nordic Storm while the Paris Musketeers lost 45–22 to the Munich Ravens.

That means the equation is simple. If the Raiders defeat the Paris Musketeers next weekend at Tivoli Stadium, they will secure their place in the inaugural EFA BIG4 Playoffs. For the Prague Lions, the loss officially ends their playoff hopes after a spirited late season push.
