Jaylon Henderson Named EFA Week 7 MVP
The fans have made their choice: Prague Lions quarterback Jaylon Henderson has been voted the European Football Alliance Week 7 Most Valuable Player after delivering one of the most dominant individual performances of the inaugural EFA season.
Henderson was nearly unstoppable in Prague’s convincing victory over the Raiders Tirol, accounting for five total touchdowns. The dual threat quarterback completed 23 of 35 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns, while adding 75 rushing yards and another rushing touchdown on the ground. His outstanding performance helped the Lions continue their impressive resurgence during the second half of the season.
Five Touchdowns in a Statement Performance
From the opening drive, Henderson dictated the pace of the game with his arm and his legs. He consistently extended plays, attacked the Raiders’ secondary downfield and punished defensive pressure with timely scrambles. His four touchdown passes showcased his accuracy, while his rushing score highlighted once again why he is one of the league’s most dangerous dual threat quarterbacks.
The MVP award is Henderson’s first weekly honor of the season and the second consecutive Week MVP for a Prague Lions player after wide receiver Matyáš Bílý received the award in Week 6. It also marks the third overall weekly MVP honor for the Lions during the inaugural EFA campaign.
Glenna and Hrubon Also Honored
The Prague Lions celebrated an exceptional week beyond Henderson’s MVP selection.
Defensive back Luke Glenna was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording 12 total tackles, including four solo stops and eight assists, while intercepting two passes in Nordic Storm’s dramatic showdown with the Munich Ravens. His two takeaways played a major role in keeping Nordic Storm in contention throughout one of the most exciting games of the season.
Special teams honors went to Prague kicker Marek Hrubon, who converted his only field goal attempt, was perfect on all six extra point attempts, and averaged 60 yards per kickoff, providing consistently excellent field position throughout the Lions’ victory.
