Lukas Haslwanter Named EFA Week 12 MVP

With a dominant performance in arguably the biggest game of the season so far, Lukas Haslwanter has been named the European Football Alliance Most Valuable Player of Week 12. The Raiders Tirol running back led his team to a crucial 41–29 road victory over the Prague Lions with four touchdowns, keeping Tirol’s playoff hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.

Four Touchdowns in a Must-Win Game

The situation was simple: only a victory would keep the Raiders Tirol in the race for the inaugural BIG4 Playoff Weekend. Under that pressure, Haslwanter delivered the best performance of his EFA career.

The Austrian running back accounted for all four Raiders touchdowns. He reached the end zone three times on the ground and added a spectacular 59-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Kenyatte Allen. He finished the afternoon with 49 rushing yards, 59 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns. Every time the Prague Lions managed to close the gap, Haslwanter responded with another big play and proved to be the difference maker as the Raiders secured their second consecutive victory.

Raiders Take Control of Their Playoff Destiny

With the win in Prague, the Raiders Tirol not only moved ahead of the Lions in the standings but also climbed to fifth place. More importantly, Tirol remained firmly in the race for the final two playoff spots and now controls its own destiny heading into the regular season finale against the Paris Musketeers.

Quarterback Kenyatte Allen once again impressed with 346 passing yards and two touchdown passes, while Aaron Jackson contributed another 105 receiving yards. Nevertheless, it was Haslwanter who made the decisive impact with his four trips to the end zone and deservedly earned the league’s highest weekly individual honor.

Honors Also Go to Munich and Copenhagen

Alongside the MVP award, the EFA also announced its other Week 12 honors. Munich Ravens kicker Michael Stadler was named Special Teams Player of the Week after converting his field goal and all six extra points in Munich’s 45–22 victory over the Paris Musketeers.

Nordic Storm defensive back Maceo Beard-Aigret earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording an interception and two pass breakups in his team’s dominant 47–9 road win over Frankfurt Galaxy. The French defensive back was one of the key contributors to another outstanding performance by the Storm defense.

First Running Back to Win the Award

Haslwanter also made a small piece of EFA history with his selection. He is the first running back to be named Most Valuable Player of the Week during the league’s inaugural season. He also becomes the second consecutive Raiders Tirol player to receive the honor, following quarterback Kenyatte Allen, who won the award in Week 10.
