Miranda explodes, Myrén dominates: EFA reveals Week 2 Players of the Week

The EFA has officially announced its Week 2 Players of the Week, highlighting standout performances on offense, defense and special teams.

Nordic Storm dominated the weekly honors with both Roberto Miranda and Ludvig Myrén receiving awards after their impressive victory over the Raiders Tirol, while Paris Musketeers kicker Dean Faithfull completed the trio following a strong performance against the Prague Lions.

Roberto Miranda delivers explosive offensive showcase

Nordic Storm receiver Roberto Miranda earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after torching the Raiders Tirol secondary throughout the game. Miranda finished the matchup with eight receptions for 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns, repeatedly creating separation and producing explosive plays downfield.

The dynamic pass catcher averaged 17 yards per reception and constantly stretched the field for the Storm offense. Several of his catches came in crucial situations on scoring drives, quickly turning short gains into major momentum plays. His speed after the catch and ability to attack the deep zones of the defense made him nearly impossible to contain throughout the game.

Miranda’s performance played a massive role in Nordic Storm securing a convincing 39:16 victory and further established him as one of the league’s most dangerous offensive weapons early in the season.

Ludvig Myrén controls the game defensively

Defensively, Nordic Storm linebacker Ludvig Myrén put together one of the most complete performances of the week and was rewarded as Defensive Player of the Week.

Myrén recorded ten solo tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack while consistently disrupting the Raiders offense from sideline to sideline. His physicality against the run game stood out immediately, repeatedly stopping ball carriers before they could reach the second level.

The Swedish linebacker also came up with a crucial sack that forced Tirol into a difficult long-yardage situation and helped Nordic Storm maintain control defensively. Beyond the statistics, Myrén’s overall presence and tackling efficiency made him one of the defining defensive players of Week 2.

Dean Faithfull delivers reliable special teams performance

Paris Musketeers kicker Dean Faithfull was named Special Teams Player of the Week after helping guide Paris to a 30:9 win over the Prague Lions.

Faithfull converted three of his four extra point attempts and also connected on a 25 yard field goal during the second quarter. His field goal extended the Musketeers lead and helped Paris maintain full control of the game heading into halftime.

In addition to his kicking duties, Faithfull contributed in kick coverage situations and delivered a calm and composed performance under pressure. Despite one blocked PAT later in the game, the British kicker remained highly efficient and played a key role in the Musketeers securing their victory over Prague.

With explosive offensive playmaking, dominant defensive execution and reliable special teams performances, Week 2 once again showcased the growing talent level across the EFA.
