Munich extend contract with defensive tackle Hiswill Awuah
The Munich Ravens have secured the return of defensive tackle Hiswill Awuah for the upcoming EFA season. The 25-year-old German will remain a key part of Munich’s defensive line as the team enters the inaugural EFA season.
Established presence on the defensive line
Awuah, born in Hamburg, developed through the Hamburg Huskies before making his way to the European level with the Hamburg Sea Devils. In his rookie season in 2021, he was named team Rookie of the Year, marking his early impact at the professional level. Since joining Munich, he has established himself as a reliable presence in the center of the defense.
Consistent production in recent seasons
Awuah has delivered consistent performances over the past two years. In 2024, he recorded 35 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He followed that up in 2025 with 34 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. His contributions were an important factor in Munich’s run to the semifinals.
Key piece for Munich’s defense
By extending Awuah, the Munich Ravens retain an important anchor on the defensive line. His ability to impact the game on the interior makes him a valuable piece of the defensive structure.
Munich will continue to rely on his consistency and experience as the team prepares for the upcoming EFA season.
