Musketeers Fall to Strong Munich Ravens
The Munich Ravens have convincingly won the clash between two previously unbeaten teams. With an impressive 41:7 road victory over the Paris Musketeers, Munich remains undefeated after its third game of the season and, together with Nordic Storm, stands as one of the last remaining unbeaten teams in the European Football Alliance.
Playing in front of their home crowd at Stade Bauer, the Paris Musketeers had hoped to defeat a direct competitor in the race for the top of the standings and extend their perfect start to the season. Instead, the Ravens capitalized on their opportunities, forced several game-changing turnovers, and turned what had been a closely contested matchup into a one-sided affair during the second half.
Paris Keeps Fighting Early
The home team got off to a much stronger start than many of Munich’s previous opponents this season. In particular, the Musketeers’ special teams prevented an early big play from return specialist Bijon Harris, who was unable to create the spectacular moments that had become expected during the opening weeks of the season.
Nevertheless, Munich was the first team to reach the end zone. Late in the first quarter, quarterback Russell Tabor led the Ravens deep into French territory and found wide receiver Malik Stanley Jr. on a 21-yard touchdown pass to give the visitors a 7:0 lead.
Paris remained composed. The defense kept the game within reach, and the special teams eventually provided the equalizer. Following a mishandled snap on a Munich punt, the kick was blocked and immediately returned for a touchdown. Stade Bauer erupted as the Musketeers tied the game and regained momentum.
Ravens Deliver the First Major Blow
For much of the first half, the game developed into the highly anticipated showdown many had expected. Both defenses battled intensely at the line of scrimmage and allowed very few explosive plays.
As the game appeared headed toward a tie at halftime, the Ravens delivered a crucial blow. Daniel Schweiger converted a field goal shortly before the break, giving Munich a narrow 10:7 lead heading into halftime.
Looking back, that moment proved to be an important turning point. While Paris entered the locker room trailing by only three points, the Ravens were beginning to seize control of the game.
Turnovers Decide the Outcome
Munich increased the pressure immediately after halftime.
A strip sack against quarterback Zach Edwards gave the Ravens early possession and put the Musketeers under pressure once again.
Shortly afterward came one of the biggest plays of the game. Running back Justus Seelig broke multiple tackles and led the Ravens deep into the red zone. Moments later, Russell Tabor connected once again with Malik Stanley Jr. for a touchdown, extending the lead to 17:7.
The decisive blow followed soon after. As wide receiver Hassane Dosso attempted to gain extra yardage after a catch, defensive back Tony Anderson knocked the ball loose. Alexander Raich recovered the fumble for Munich and put the Ravens in excellent field position.
Just one play later, Malik Stanley Jr. caught his third touchdown of the evening. Combined with a successful two-point conversion, the visitors extended their lead to 25:7 and effectively ended any hopes of a Paris comeback.
Munich’s Defense Closes the Door
As the game progressed, the quality of the Ravens became evident on both sides of the ball.
Munich’s defense consistently pressured Zach Edwards and forced the quarterback into difficult decisions throughout the second half. Christoph Nitzlnader recorded two interceptions and eliminated any realistic chance of a Musketeers comeback.
On the other side of the ball, the Ravens offense remained highly efficient. Tight end Fabian Rolfes increased the lead to 31:7 in the fourth quarter before running back Justin Rodney added his fifth rushing touchdown of the season to put the game completely out of reach. Another field goal by Daniel Schweiger eventually completed the 41:7 victory.
Ravens Take Control at the Top
With the win, the Munich Ravens send a strong message in the European Football Alliance title race. After victories against the Raiders Tirol, Frankfurt Galaxy, and now the Paris Musketeers, Munich improves to 3:0 and further strengthens its position among the leading contenders for the 2026 EFA Championship Game.
For the Paris Musketeers, meanwhile, the two-game winning streak comes to an end. Despite a spirited performance throughout much of the first half, the French side was unable to overcome its turnovers and Munich’s dominant second-half performance. At 2:1, however, the Musketeers remain firmly within reach of the league’s top teams.
