Prague Lions Fall Again to Strong Nordic Storm
The Prague Lions are still searching for their first victory in the European Football Alliance. Playing in front of their home crowd, the team led by Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator James Brooks suffered a 40-14 defeat against the undefeated Nordic Storm. While the Lions had hoped to avenge their season-opening loss to the Scandinavian franchise, Nordic Storm once again proved why it is considered one of the league’s strongest teams and left little doubt about the outcome for most of the afternoon.
It was already the second meeting between the two teams this season. After Nordic Storm had comfortably won the first matchup, the Lions were determined to deliver a stronger performance in front of their fans. However, the visitors quickly took control and never allowed Prague to gain any real momentum during the first half.
Nordic Storm Takes Early Control
From the opening drive, Nordic Storm controlled the game. Quarterback Jadrian Clark distributed the football efficiently and repeatedly found open receivers against the Prague defense. Roberto Miranda, Glen Toonga, and Brendan Beaulieu all found the end zone during the opening quarter, helping the visitors build an early lead.
The Prague offense struggled to find answers against Nordic Storm’s fast and physical defense. Quarterback Jaylon Henderson faced constant pressure and was forced to improvise on several occasions. While players such as William Patterson and Adam Zouzelka managed to create some positive plays, the Lions were unable to generate the explosive moments needed to stay within striking distance.
Before halftime, Nordic Storm continued to extend its advantage. Simon Føns and Brendan Beaulieu added further touchdowns as the visitors took a commanding 33-0 lead into the locker room. At that point, the challenge facing Prague had become enormous.
Lions Show Character After Halftime
Nordic Storm remained in control after the break. Following a turnover deep in Prague territory, Simon Føns scored his second touchdown of the afternoon and increased the lead to 40-0, effectively putting the game out of reach.
Unlike the first meeting between the two teams, however, the Lions refused to give up.
The defense provided a spark when Ken Hike Jr. intercepted a pass and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown. The play energized both the sideline and the home crowd and finally put Prague on the scoreboard.
Soon afterward, the offense began to find some rhythm as well. Jaylon Henderson led a long scoring drive and finished it himself with a rushing touchdown. The Lions had finally found some success against one of the EFA’s top teams and showed encouraging signs for the weeks ahead.
Nordic Storm Remains Perfect
Despite Prague’s late surge, the result was never seriously in doubt. Nordic Storm controlled the game for most of the afternoon and once again demonstrated its balance on both sides of the football. The offense consistently moved the ball, while the defense limited opportunities and forced key mistakes.
With the victory, Head Coach John Shoop’s team improves to 3-0 and remains undefeated alongside the Munich Ravens. Nordic Storm continues to strengthen its position among the leading contenders in the European Football Alliance.
For the Prague Lions, the defeat represents another setback in a difficult start to the season. Nevertheless, the second-half response provided some positives for James Brooks and his coaching staff. While Prague remains winless after four weeks, the team showed resilience and will continue searching for its first victory of the 2026 campaign.
