Raiders Tirol Host Nordic Storm in Crucial Innsbruck Showdown

“Every game is a final, as they say in soccer. Nordic Storm are a difficult opponent because they’re a very good football team. But at the end of the day, that doesn’t matter. We want to see the fight and show that we’re always competitive.”

Even after six consecutive losses, the experienced head coach remains fully focused on the future.

“What I won’t allow is for us to give up. We’ll go full speed again in this game. Anyone who knows me knows I’ll bring plenty of fire to the team.”

Running back Tim Tonko, who has scored four touchdowns over the past two games, shares the same mindset.

“It’s an extremely important game. I think every one of us knows we’re not in the best situation right now. But we still have to approach every game with the best possible energy.”

For the Austrian international, the most important thing is to demonstrate the character of the team.

“We have to prove that we have a strong core as a team and show who we are. We are the Raiders Tirol. We have fight in us no matter how difficult the situation may look.”

Nordic Storm Looking to Bounce Back After First Loss

The game is equally important for Nordic Storm. Before their bye week, the Danish club suffered its first defeat of the season, falling in the highly anticipated showdown against the Munich Ravens. The week off has allowed the team to recover, and Storm now travels to Innsbruck fully rested and eager to return to winning ways.

With five victories in six games, Nordic Storm remains one of the strongest teams in the EFA. Another win would strengthen its position near the top of the standings while keeping the pressure on league leaders Munich Ravens. The Raiders head coach is equally impressed by Storm’s defense.

“They come at you from everywhere like a swarm of wasps. They attack you from every angle and try to create chaos in your quarterback protection.”

White Out Game and Spectacular Gameday Experience

Beyond the action on the field, fans can once again look forward to a special gameday atmosphere. The matchup will be played under the traditional White Out Game theme, with supporters encouraged to wear white throughout the stadium. The Raiders will once again take the field wearing their white camouflage uniforms.

Together with the Austrian Armed Forces as Presenting Partner, the pregame festivities will feature a spectacular entrance as a soldier delivers the official game ball by descending directly from the stadium roof. During halftime, singer Kayla Krystin will provide live entertainment.

The game worn White Out jerseys will also be auctioned off, with the winning bidders receiving their jerseys directly from the players after the game, including photo and autograph opportunities. Tim Tonko hopes the experience creates lasting memories.

“It’s not about breaking any auction records for me. I simply hope that maybe a young football player who looks up to EFA players gets the chance to interact with us a little more. I hope people enjoy wearing my jersey and are proud to wear my number.”

Kickoff Saturday Evening at Tivoli Stadium

After welcoming more than 3,000 spectators for last week’s home game against the Munich Ravens, the Raiders Tirol are once again hoping for a passionate home crowd when Nordic Storm visits Innsbruck. Kickoff at Tivoli Stadium is scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 PM CEST.
