Star quarterback Zach Edwards returns to Paris Musketeers

The Paris Musketeers have secured a major boost for the upcoming EFA season with the return of quarterback Zach Edwards. After taking a year away from football, the American returns to Paris, where he previously established himself as one of the most dominant offensive players in European football. Edwards steps back into a familiar environment and is expected to take over the starting role once again, bringing leadership, production, and experience to the Musketeers’ offense.

Proven production at an elite level

Since arriving in Europe in 2021, Edwards has consistently performed at a high level. Across his career, he has thrown for nearly 12,000 passing yards and 121 touchdowns, making him one of the most productive quarterbacks in league history. His most successful season came in 2024, when he was named Offensive Player of the Year after leading Paris to an 10–2 record and a playoff victory. His ability to elevate the offense has made him a cornerstone player for the franchise.

Dual-threat ability and playmaking

Edwards is known not only for his passing production but also for his mobility and playmaking ability. In his last active season, he added 792 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, consistently creating problems for opposing defenses. His dual-threat profile allows him to extend plays, gain yards on the ground, and keep defenses under constant pressure, making him one of the most complete quarterbacks in European football.

Experience across multiple levels

Before his time in Europe, Edwards played college football at St. Scholastica, where he set school records with over 9,000 passing yards and 90 touchdowns. He was later invited to the FCS Bowl, where he earned MVP honors. He began his European career in Spain, winning a championship with the L’Hospitalet Pioners, before joining the Barcelona Dragons in 2021. After two seasons in Barcelona, he became the starting quarterback of the Paris Musketeers in 2023, where he quickly established himself as one of the league’s top players.

Key piece for Paris’ ambitions

With Edwards returning, the Musketeers regain a proven leader who understands the team’s system and culture. His presence provides stability at the quarterback position and significantly raises the team’s offensive ceiling.

Following a competitive 2025 season, Paris now adds one of the most productive and experienced quarterbacks in European football back into the lineup. With Edwards under center, the Musketeers aim to take the next step and re-enter the race for the playoffs in the upcoming EFA season.
