The BIG4 Playoff Weekend: Three Days of Football in Frankfurt
From August 14 to 16, all roads lead to Frankfurt as the European Football Alliance hosts the inaugural BIG4 Playoff Weekend. Over three unforgettable days, the four best teams of the regular season will battle for a place in the EFA Championship Game in Innsbruck, while fans from across Europe come together to celebrate American football at the biggest league event of the year.
The Road to the Championship Runs Through Frankfurt
The PSD Bank Arena will host both EFA Semi Finals during the first-ever BIG4 Playoff Weekend.
On Saturday evening, the first semifinal will determine the opening finalist. Less than 24 hours later, Sunday afternoon’s second semifinal will decide who earns the remaining ticket to the EFA Championship Game.
For the four remaining teams, every snap will bring them one step closer to becoming the first champion in European Football Alliance history.
More Than Just Football
The BIG4 Playoff Weekend is designed to be much more than two football games.
The festivities begin on Friday with the official EFA Fan Bar at Bayreuther Brauhaus, where supporters of all six EFA franchises can meet, celebrate, and kick off the biggest football weekend of the season together. Admission is free, and the event runs from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
On both gamedays, fans can enjoy a full Tailgate Experience outside the stadium featuring food, entertainment, partner activations, and interactive experiences before kickoff.
After Saturday’s semifinal, the celebration continues with an official Postgame Fan Event in downtown Frankfurt. The location and additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Football Brings Europe Together
One of the unique features of the BIG4 Playoff Weekend is that all six EFA franchises will be represented in Frankfurt, regardless of whether they qualified for the semifinals.
The weekend is designed as a celebration of the entire EFA community. Supporters from across Europe will come together to share their passion for American football and experience the league’s first football festival of its kind.
