Week 10 of the European Football Alliance brings together two teams with very different objectives but plenty at stake. Few teams enter Week 10 with more confidence than the Prague Lions. After an 0-5 start, Prague has suddenly become one of the hottest teams in the league, winning back-to-back games to remain firmly in the playoff conversation.
Last week’s 36-35 overtime thriller against the Paris Musketeers may prove to be the turning point of the Lions’ season. Prague led for much of the afternoon before Paris stormed back to take the lead with just 30 seconds remaining. Kicker Marek Hrubon answered with a clutch 54-yard field goal as time expired to force overtime, where quarterback Jaylon Henderson connected with Matyas Bily for the game-winning touchdown before completing the decisive two-point conversion.
The Lions once again leaned on Henderson’s remarkable versatility. The quarterback accounted for 450 total yards of offense, throwing for 296 yards and four touchdowns while adding 154 rushing yards as Prague controlled possession for more than 50 minutes. Wide receivers Matyas Bily (109 yards, two touchdowns) and William Patterson (12 receptions, one touchdown) led an offense that continues to improve every week.
