Wilfried Pene is the Final EFA MVP of the inaugural Regular Season

Wilfried Pene of Nordic Storm is the Most Valuable Player of Week 13, the final week of the 2026 EFA Regular Season. The defensive lineman delivered a dominant performance in the 55–7 victory over the Munich Ravens, putting the finishing touch on the weekly MVP awards of the regular season.

Pene finished the game with ten tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. The Frenchman also blocked a field goal and was one of the standout players on a Storm defense that completely controlled Munich for long stretches of the game. Nordic already led 42–0 at halftime and secured the number one seed for the BIG4 Playoff Weekend with the victory.

Pene dominates at the line of scrimmage

For Pene, it was a special way to finish the Regular Season. The defensive lineman only joined Nordic Storm during the ongoing season through the newly introduced W Import system. Now he has already earned his first individual EFA award.

Against Munich, his presence was particularly noticeable at the line of scrimmage. With 3.5 tackles for loss, Pene repeatedly found his way into the Ravens’ backfield, while his 2.5 sacks added further pressure on the Munich quarterbacks. He recorded ten tackles overall. He also made his presence felt on special teams by blocking a field goal.

Fittingly, a defensive lineman becomes the final MVP of the inaugural EFA Regular Season. For Nordic Storm, it is already the team’s third MVP award of the season. After tight end Roberto Miranda in Week 2 and linebacker Hugo Dyrendahl in Week 9, Pene is the third Storm player to receive the highest individual honor of an EFA game week.

Clark and Rimmler also honored

The other two Player of the Week awards of the final Regular Season week also went to players who produced exceptional performances.

Nordic Storm’s Jadrian Clark was named Offensive Player of the Week. The quarterback led the Storm offense in the 55–7 victory over Munich with an outstanding performance, throwing for 437 yards. Clark was responsible for seven total touchdowns and led Nordic not only to the team’s biggest victory of the season, but also to the number one seed at the end of the Regular Season.

The Special Teams Player of the Week comes from Frankfurt Galaxy. Ryan Rimmler produced a true highlight in the 37–34 road victory over the Prague Lions. The kicker converted four of his five extra points and one of his two field goal attempts. That one successful attempt, however, was something special: Rimmler connected from 62 yards and set a new EFA record. Frankfurt also secured its place in the BIG4 with the victory.

Three MVPs for Nordic Storm, five of six teams represented

Pene’s selection also brings the MVP race of the inaugural EFA Regular Season to a close. A total of twelve MVP awards were handed out across the season, with Week 11 serving as a league wide Bye Week.

Nordic Storm and Frankfurt Galaxy lead the list with three different MVPs each. The Prague Lions and Raiders Tirol each produced two MVPs. The Munich Ravens opened the season with Russell Tabor as the MVP of Week 1. Only the Paris Musketeers went through the Regular Season without an MVP award.

The distribution across different positions is also particularly notable. Quarterbacks were selected four times, but wide receivers, a tight end, a running back, defensive backs, linebackers and defensive linemen also earned the top individual honor of an EFA game week.
